On Thursday, August 27th, there will be an Historic Preservation Event at Past Times Coffee House & Deli (www.pasttimesrestaurant.com) in Uptown Watertown, SD. from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm. The event is open to the public. Appetizers will be served and a cash bar will be available during a social hour beginning at 5:30 pm.
The program will begin promptly at 6pm with an introduction by the Codington County Historical Preservation Commission. Commission members will be introduced and there will be a brief description of the projects overseen by the commission.
At 6:30pm, Chris Nelson, an Historic Preservation Specialist from the South Dakota State Historical Society will be presenting. He invites questions from the audience.
This event will provide a wonderful opportunity to learn more about historic preservation in the Codington County and the Watertown area and how each individual could preserve his/her historic site.
